Alexandra Maria Lara is a Romanian-German film and television actress famous for her performance in films like Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. Alexandra was the only child of Romanian actor Valentin Platareu. at the age of 16she already landed several television roles, which included the leading role in Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. In the Oscar nominated film Downfall her character as Adolf Hitler's Secretary Traudljunge was also highly praised. The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex are also Oscar nominees featuring female stars. Alexandra is known for her involvement in many important projects in both the US as well as internationally. These projects included British biographical films Control Greek dramatic film The Dust of Time French historical Miniseries Napoleon, amongst others. Her other roles include being an official jury member for each of The Transylvania International Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival.
